Boston, Mass. B. F. Keith's June 4th 7 STERLING and MARGUERITE 6 minutes f.s. Garden set. Open with a song in one. Draw off to full stage with work on the Roman rings and trapeze. Work like chain-lightning and have some good tricks. A fast opener. ROWLEY and YOUNG in "Spotless Town" 10 minutes in one. Special drop. Singing and dancing act with two men, mostly dancing. All right in this spot. ARTHUR STUART HULL and LILLIAN DERKIN 18 minutes f.s. High-class singing act with pianist. Every number got over, and they closed to a strong hand. JIMMIE LUCAS and CO 17 minutes in one. Lucas works as a "nut." His act is full of pep and ginger, and he is assisted by a pianist. Woke things up in great shape. As a finish, Lucas introduces a plant in a box, dressed as a G.A.R. veteran with white whiskers, who sings "What Kind of an American Are YOU?" and puts over a big applause hit. A lively act that got over in good shape. CHARLES WITHERS and CO in "FOR PITY'S SAKE" 29 minutes f.s. Special set. Second visit here of this travesty, under another name. A big laughing hit, going exceptionally strong at night. EX-GOVERNOR DAVID I. WALSH speaking on the LIBERTY LOAN 18 minutes in one. On the eve of Registration Day, the ex-Governor delivered one of the most stirring speeches of his career, strongly urging all to buy Liberty Bonds. He aroused a great deal of enthusiasm and closed to a very big hand. WARREN and CONLEY 20 minutes in one. Special drop. This act opens up rather slow with their talk. The dancing finish, however, took them off to a good hand. SOPHIE TUCKER and HER FIVE KINGS OF SYNCOPATION 28 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Miss Tucker was a riot. In fact, she stopped the show at both performances Monday. WILLIAMS and WOLFUS 22 minutes in one. Olio Drapery. This act is the fifth turn on the bill using a piano. In spite of this handicap, they put over the laughing hit of the show, and ran Sophie Tucker a nip-and-tuck race for the applause honors of the bill. TRAVILLA BROTHERS and DIVING SEAL 6 minutes f.s. Special set. Underwater feats in a glass tank by two men and one seal. Good novelty and made an excellent closing act. CUTS Sophie Tucker - "God knows" Williams and Wolfus - throwing pillow into audience Jimmie Lucas - "Who the Hell"
