Boston, Mass. B.F.Keith's June 11th 7 DUFTY and DAISY 11 minutes f.s. Garden. Man and woman in a very good bicycle act. Good opener. UNITED STATES MARINES 9 minutes f.s. Special drop. This is Marine Recruiting Week, and as a special feature we have established recruiting offices in the lobbies and sixteen United States Marines from the Charlestown Navy Yard, under command of Captain Adams, U.S.M.C., give a bayonet drill. At the finish the flag is brought in, while the orchestra plays "The Star Spangled Banner." Business was big Monday, and the Marines were a riot. EDNA MUNSEY 13 minutes in one. Plush drapery. Miss Munsey lost her trunk somewhere between Elizabeth, N.J. and Boston. Consequently she worked both shows Monday in street dress. In spite of this handicap, she got over in good shape. Has a beautiful voice, carried a pianist, and offers a good program. Makes three changes of costume. MARGARET and WILLIAM CUTTY 15 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Another grand piano act. This week we have four grand pianos on the bill. Last week we had five. Two weeks ago, seven on one bill. The Cuttys play the cello, sing and play the piano. Not much life to the act, and they went only fair. GAYLORD and LANCTON 12 minutes f.s. with short openings in one. Street drop and reversed set. The old Flanagan and Edwards' "[illegible] Off," re-written to introduce the two women. The act has one virtue, at least, - the people work hard and it has plenty of life. Went over pretty well. THE SHARROCKS 25 minutes in one. Special drop. "Behind the Grand Stand." The last time we played this act, it was a positive sensation. Judging by the interest aroused yesterday, they ought to be town talk before the week is over. The mind-reading is remarkable, and the comedy element is strong. A big hit. FLORENCE MOORE and BROTHER FRANK MOORE 32 minutes f.s. Music room. Pianist at grand piano. This is a great act. Had them laughing every minute, and closed very strong. LEO BEERS 18 minutes in one. Olio drop. Grand piano in one. Mr. Beers went over very well indeed. Has some new numbers, and in fact, he may be said to have scored a hit. ANDREW TOMBES and CO in "THE [BRIDE?] SHOP" 26 minutes f.s. Special set. Mr. Tombes has improved since his last visit here. Has some new gags, and the audiences at both performances Monday laughed very heartily at him. One of the best girl acts we have played in a long time. Held the audience seated to the finish, and closed big. CUTS Gaylord & Lancton - gag about "How's your carburetor?" Andrew Tombes - expression "God bless you!"
