Boston, Mass. B. F. Keith's June 18th 7 THE GLADIATORS 8 minutes f.s. Special set. Well-known hand-to-hand balancing act, with flashy setting and costumes. Excellent opener. FRITZ and LUCY [BEECH?] 14 minutes in one. Olio drop. This well-known violin and cello turn went over first-rate. BURT and JOHNSTON CO in "BLUFF" 20 minutes f.s. C.D.F. These people lost their baggage Monday and had to work the matinee in street clothes. Received their costumes in time for the night show. The two men work after the style of Billy Arlington and Frank Dobson, with a banjo and a flute. The woman is a feeder. Some good rough comedy, and closed to a good hand with the dancing finish. IRWIN and HENRY 21 minutes in one. Olio drop. About the same act that Mr. Irwin did with Eunice Burnham. Going well. DOROTHY TOYE assisted at the piano by ARTHUR ANDERSON 19 minutes in 3. Music room. Miss Toye was one of the bright spots in the bill. Went over big. LYDELL and HIGGINS in "A FRIEND OF FATHER'S" 23 minutes in one. Special drop. Second visit here of this act, and going very well. JULIA ARTHUR in "LIBERTY AFLAME" 13 minutes f.s. Special set. Miss Arthur has a splendid vehicle. As a spectacle it is rarely beautiful and inspiring. As a patriotic feature, it takes high rank. Close interest all through, frequent applause, and closed big. An excellent headline feature. THE VOLUNTEERS 16 minutes in one. Olio drop. It is some time since this act played here. Held this spot in very good shape. SYLVIA LOYAL and HER 70 PIGEONS 10 minutes f.s. Special set. Pleasing sight novelty that made an acceptable closing act. NO CUTS
