PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JULY 30, 7 PATHE. Fairly good lot of pictures. CHARLES LEONARD FLETCHER'S "SCREEN JAZZ." This week's subjects averaged up very well, several of them getting good laughs and two of three of them bringing a round of applause. WITT & WINTER. 7 min. Two men in a routine of hand-to-hand balancing stunts. They show nothing new but handle their material cleverly and furnished a fairly good opener. WARD & CULLEN. 18 min. This couple have a good lot of songs, not new but differently handled than by other singers and get unusually good results from them. The man has two good comedy numbers which he works up to applause hits and the girl is a clever pianist, being of excellent assistance to her partner. They finished to a big hand. HERBERT CLIFTON. 20 min. With four changes of costume, this fellow was a big applause hit. He did four straight numbers and one comedy, the latter not getting over as well as the others, but he had the audience interested and pleased them so well that he closed very strong. MR. & MRS. MEL-BURNE. 15 min. "On the Fourth Floor." A one-act comedy sketch nicely staged. It is a domestic comedy with situations that got laughs. There were several waits which handicapped their chances, but the act made a good impression and will do better under favorable conditions. NONETTE. 16 min. This girl made her usual good impression here with her violin and vocal numbers, winning several good hands for her separate numbers and finishing strong. ALBERTINA RASCH & CO. 15 min. This is unquestionably one of the very best of the classical dancing numbers in vaudeville. She has an excellent program of numbers varied in character and all very well executed. She is supported by Constantin Kobeloff, an excellent dancer, and the best drilled group of coryphees of any of the acts we have seen. The act was a big applause hit. MULLEN & COOGAN. 17 min. These boys put over a good sized laughing hit with their "nut" comedy, songs and dances. Their routine is very little changed from what they offered on the last visit, but they got it over in good shape and after getting plenty of laughs, finished to a liberal hand. 5 OF CLUBS. 9 min. Four men and a girl in a very good club-juggling novelty. The girl introduced one comedy song number and the boys do a fast routine of tricks in showy costume. The act made a good closing number. GENERAL REMARKS. This show furnished very satisfactory entertainment for one of the hottest afternoons we have had this summer. There is a good average of comedy and music running through it and the headliner was a very big applause winner. For the balance of the week Mr. & Mrs. Mel-Burne will change places with Herbert Clifton. CUTS WARD & CULLEN: Reference to "Three Weeks" HERBERT CLIFTON: Modification of thumbing nose in dance.
