Boston, Mass. Keith's Sept. 10th., 1917. Pathe Weekly; 10 minutes. Interesting pictures of curren world events. Novelty Clintons; 10 minutes.,f.s.. Rather good opening act; jumping and acrobatic work. Assisted by woman with pleasing personality. Edward Marshall 14 minutes in 1. Marshall did over 20 minutes Monday afternoon. Rather long drawn out. Patrons in the boxes that he made cartoons of made serious objections, so we had him cut out that end of it, also had his act cut to 14 minutes. All right in its spot. The(Thera)Misses Lightner (Winnie) and Alexander; 17 minutes in 1. They had pretty much the same stuff. Went over in pretty fair shape. Donovan & Lee; 20 minutes in 1. Doing pretty much the same stuff. Went over very big. Kalmar & Brown; 24 minutes,f.s.. This act is rather long drawn out, slow in spots. While a very novel idea it lacks punch but it pleased. Adair & Adelphi; 14 minutes in 1. Two very clever girls whose act went over in very good shape. French & Eis; 24 minutes,f.s.. Pantomime called Halloween. Big beautiful production, well costumed, well put on. Suffered somewhat on the same bill with Kalmar & Brown, another dancing act of Nursery character. Walter C. Kelly; 22 minutes in 1. Kelly has not been here for several years and received a warm welcome; even very late in the afternoon held the audience and went over as big as ever if not better. Makers of History; 10 minutes, f.s.. Series of living statuary of famous men, past and present. Very well put on and well liked. Slow for closing act. Held the audience fairly well.
