180 Boston,Mass., Keith's Oct.8th., 7 Laveen & Cross:- 12 min., f.s.. Spl. set. Two men. This act is a travesty on the Roman Gladiators of old and has played this house before. On account of the war pictures, this opening set is on before the audience is really all seated which makes it hard to judge from an audience standpoint. Act went fair. *** Six American Dancers:-14 min. in 1. Spl. drop. The routine of this set is about the same as in previous years with new costuming. Act closed to a good hand. *** Earle Cavanaugh & Co.:-21 min. f.s.. Spl. set. One man five girls. There is some good laughs in this act and the songs are good. Cavanaugh does not seem to make the most of the possibilities for comedy. Went well. *** Crawford & Broderick:-14 min. in 1. Man and woman. This is a very classy singing and talking act. Went over very good. *** Merian's Dogs:-18min.,f.s.. Special scenery. This act is very pretensious as regards settings, but the trained animal end of it is not up to the standard of most these acts we have played. Seemed to please. *** O'Neil & Wamsley:-12 min. in 1. Good com Good comedy team. Held its spot in good shape. *** Sallie Fisher & Co.:-21 min.,f.s.. This sketch is very well liked in this house and closed very strong. Gilbert & Friedland:-19 min.,in 1. These two boys sind and play a program of their own compositions and were very entertaining. Held its spot well. *** Retreat of the Germans:-2nd. episode. 41 min.. Closed the show and held the audience as well as the previous week. *** Remarks:- Our speaker and collection for the tobacco fund is being taken up immediately after Crawford & Broderick act consuming ten minutes of time.
