Boston, Mass., Keith's Oct. 15th., 7 Hooper & Marbury: 11 min., f.s., close in 1. This is rather a pretentious dancing act with some singing and changes. It made a good opening and closed rather strong. Arnold & Taylor; 14 min. in 2. This act carries a special drop; rather novel idea. Interested our people and with its good material went over well in its spot. Fox & Ward; 16 min. in 1. This old time couple are celebrating their 50th. anniversary and went over well this afternoon (Monday). They use a drop which practically tells the history of minstrelsy in America; has every name on it that was ever put on the boards. They do old time singing and dancing; have quite a little chatter all of which went over and finished with a sort of recitation recounting their experiences for the last half century. As an anniversary matter it was all right. Cressy & Dayne: in "A City Case" 25 min., f.s.. Cressy has written and appeared in funnier sketches than his last, but that did not detract from his performance today. He is a great favorite here. Went over strong with laughs all through Good finish. Juliette Dika; 20 min. in 1. Miss Dika proved to be one of the most refreshing singers we have played in a long time. She has a good line of material, wonderfully beautiful costumes and has a very chick method of putting her stuff over. She was a hit. Morgan Dancers; 26 min., f.s.. Although it is a crime to oblige these people to put on tights, their performance was so satisfactory that I believe the audience did not think anything about it. This is unquestionably the best dancing act of the kind that we have played. It has everything that a dancing act of this kind should have; beautiful stage settings, wonderful costumes, and what was more to the point real dancers in cleverly constructed dances. Jas. Watts & Co., 14 min., open in 1 and go to f.s.. This was rather a clever burlesque, most of it a burlesque on the Morgan dancers, all of which went over in good shape. Wellington Cross; 20 min. in 1. Mr. Cross has a good line of songs and knew how to put them over. Held the spot without difficulty.
