PHILADELPHIA B.F.KEITH'S DEC.10, 7 PATHE. 12 min. Up to the usual average. SEABURY & SHAW. 9 min. A series of dance numbers opening with a song in one and going to Full Stage. The eccentric dancing of the man is the big feature of the act and with a very good double number, they finished to a good hand. HARRY LESTER MASON. 13 min. Although his act consists entirely of talk he did very well in this early spot, getting plenty of laughs and finishing to a liberal hand. HOWARD'S PONIES. 15 min. The fact that Howard keeps his act freshened up by the introduction of new tricks with the dongs and ponies makes this one of the best animal acts in vaudeville. It was placed earlier than usual on the bill but held the spot in excellent shape and gave the first half of the show a big boost. MALETA BONCONI. 16 min. A high-class musical act that was warmly appreciated. All her numbers are classical and played with perfect expression. She gave four selections and finished strong. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS. 14 min. This new act is a big improvement over the last, being nicely staged and costumed. "The Dance of the Allies" in native costume being a timely feature and attractively dressed, carried them through to a good sized hit. ADELE ROWLAND. 17 min. As the headline of this bill, she came fully up to expectations repeating the big hit made here last season. Most of her numbers are patriotic songs which she got over with good results and after her regular program the applause lasted long enough to bring her back for an encore. Harry De Costa accompanied her at the piano. BURNS & FRABITO. 16 min. A very good two-man comedy act which put over a big laughing and applause hit in the next-to-closing spot. They use some songs and have a couple of instrumental numbers in addition to their comedy talk and handle it all well. They were big applause winners and finished strong. "THE NAUGHTY PRINCESS." 46 min. A farcical operetta in two scenes with music and lyrics by William B. Friedlander and book by Will M. Hough. There is a large company of principals and chorus and plenty of action to the piece. The comedy, however, does not get the results that it should in a big production of this kind, nor is the singing above the average. In the closing position, it got a fair amount of laughs and the big comedy scene which is laid in a bungalow bedroom held the audience seated. The climax comes rather suddenly and without carrying through the story to a good finish. The act went just about fair. GENERAL REMARKS. A very entertaining show, getting an early start and holding up the average right through to the finish. CUTS SEABURY & SHAW. Instructed the girl to wear either tights of full length stockings for final number.
