Philadelphia Keith's December 24. 7 PATHE. 14 min. Up to the usual average. THREE QUILLOS. 7 min. A very good hand-to-hand balancing act with some new tricks. They have a great finishing trick which took them off to a big hand. They are dressed to represent the national colors and the opening picture won a hand. Made a very good opener. ROME & COX. 8 min. The eccentric dancing of this couple carried them through to a good sized hit. Open with a song and work in plenty of comedy with their stepping. Closed very well. EARLE CAVANAUGH & CO. in "Mr. Inquisitive." 23 min. A lively musical comedy sketch with three principals and a quartet of good looking girls to help out in the numbers. Cavanaugh handles the comedy for good laughs and there is some burlesque bits in a dentist's chair which kept the audience amused. With attractive dressing, pretty costumes and some catchy song numbers, it makes a very satisfactory offering and finished strong. KENNEY & HOLLIS. 17 min. A snappy nut-comedy turn by two men. They have some new material since here last and put over a laughing hit. The finish is a trifle weak, but there were plenty of laughs all the time they were on. EMMETT DEVOY & CO. 21 min. in "The Call of Childhood." This act took the place of Schofield-Martin & Co. at short notice and without any publicity, but it fitted in nicely with the Christmas atmosphere, got a liberal share of laughs and applause and finished strong. FRANCES KENNEDY. 23 min. This was her first appearance here and she registered a hit. All her songs are new and well delivered, with just a bit of comedy which helps get them over. Made four changes of costume and looked well in each. A very good single. CAMERON SISTERS. 13 min. These girls made a strong impression with our holiday audience. Did four numbers, all splendidly executed and good applause winners. Their act is prettily staged and dressed. The girls are excellent dancers and make a fine appearance. They have a high class turn which won several curtains. BAILEY & COWAN. 17 min. In the next-to-closing spot these boys were one of the biggest applause hits of the show. Their jazz music just hit the big audience right and they registered solidly from start to finish. BREEN FAMILY. 14 min. Some excellent comedy, juggling and dancing are combined in this act by four persons and it gave the bill a fine finishing touch. The dancing of the girls is especially good. GENERAL REMARKS. An ideal holiday bill, full of comedy, music and snap, with a bit of sentiment to add tone to it and it went over great. The house turned them away for the day-before-Christmas matinee which is worthy of mention and the show landed a knockout punch.
