JUST ANOTHER EDITORIAL BY THE EDITOR We had hoped to keep FMZ DIGEST free from the editorials that clutter up fmz. But there are a few points in our policy we'd like to make clear. First: we have decided to abandon our idea of not repeating fans or fmz in any issue of the DIGEST. We feel we can be representative without such a restriction, and so are dropping it. Second: at the bottom of this page you will find a list of the fmz represented in the DIGEST this issue, with addresses and other information. It will be a regular feature from now on. Third: some fmz will appear late or early, confusing our dating system. Henceforth we will consider for each issue all fmz appearing in the calendar month preceding the issue of the DIGEST, no matter how they are dated. Fourth: we have had complaints that people didn't care for some of the material we reprinted. Well--maybe we didn't exactly like it either. But we reprinted it because it was challenging, or thought-provoking, or for any one of a number of reasons. The primary reasons that determine the selection of material are, one, "Does it have high quality?" and two, "Is it of lasting interest?" Fifth: we have had requests for more pages and more material. FMZ DIGEST will vary in size as the number of magazines appearing each month. In the last two months very few fmz have appeared, therefore, few pages. With more magazines, we will increase the pages accordingly. (The number of fmz last month was only fourteen.) We are sorry the letters, many of them quite interesting, were crowded out, but they will be back next issue. Thank you, everyone, for writing.
