NEW YORK IN 1949 Fantasy Times the world of tomorrow today Vol. 2 - No. 12 Corona, 23 March 1947 Whole No. 43 UNCLE SAM'S MAIL CUTS QUEENS SFL MEETING TO 14 (Reported via telephone by Will Sykora) Tho the Secretary of The Queens Science Fiction League mailed out the announcements of the March meeting a week before, they did not arrive to members until up to a week after the meeting. This delay cause the lowest attendence of the year at one of the most enjoyable meeting yet held. Only 14 attended this meeting. Arthur J. Burke, well known to science fiction not so long ago, attended his first meeting since 1941 to announce that he is again writing. Also at the meeting were authors Philip Klass and Theodore Sturgeon. Alvin R. Brown gave a talk on the film, The Beginning
