FANFILE Page 6 far better line-up of material than is customary in first issue, and the analyses wore, to me, particularly appealing stuff, graphology being my passion right now...I'll be looking for you in Denver. Tell you what - if you make it, and I make it, I'll buy you a soda. Or maybe you prefer a beer. You name it, and as long as it isn't a berrel-full, it's on me. Bargain? (Yeah - but neither of us made it.) Letters from Tucker, Wasso Jr. Chas. Hidley, mostly about FMZ, all published. Then, from England, a letter from Don. J. Doughty, dated 31st March 1941: ...the subject is that excellent new fanpub. of yours - SPECULA. I was lucky enough to have a copy of your first, January '41, issue lent to me by a fellow British fan, Doug Webster of Aberdeen. It came as a very welcome surprise, though I had heard something about a new fanmag of around 80 pages, said to be bound in an almost professional manner, well, I just didn't expect that, even if such a mag did exist, I should ever see it.
