WELCOM LEAFLETS AND CLUB SUPPLIES This department has mailed to members' requests and to workers, 204 Applications, 306 Benefit Lists, 49 Fantasy Pseudonym Leaflets, 80 New Members Lists, 17 Fan Club Lists, 450 Club stationery and envelopes, 60 Club stickers, and numerous Constitutions, histories, Richardson Indexes, and other items. All since March 1st. When you add to that the hundreds of sheets and leaflets that have been mailed by Art Rapp, Eva Firestone and Ray and Deedee Lavender, you get some idea of how active our mailings have been. If you need supplies or want WelCom Leaflets write as follows: For: Checklist of U.S. Prozines *List of Current Fanzines Office Supplies Price List Arthur H. Rapp 2120 Bay Street Saginaw, Michigan (*Now being revised; available in a couple of weeks) N3f Benefit List (also used as Recruiting letter) Fantasy Pseudonyms Eva Firestone Box 395 Upton, Wyoming Application for Membership List of Active Fanclubs Stationery or Stickers Roy & Deedee Lavender Box 132 Delaware, Ohio The list of "Pocketbooks of SF and Fantasy Still in Print" will be published in ALEPH-NULL, Bill Venable's forthcoming NFFF fanzine. It is hoped to keep this listing up to date as a WelCom Leaflet later. WELCOMMITTEE AND RECRUITERS These two very active groups, headed by Hostess Eva Firestone, are due to be expanded soon from the large number of volunteers received. Will be supplied with NFFF stationery as long as it lasts. We believe these members are the backbone of the club. NON-RENEWALS COMMITTEE Newly-formed but already at work on 30 fans who dropped out of NFFF in 1949. Frank Groves is Chairman and is aided by Charles Kentfield and Joe Low. Purpose is to find out reasons for not renewing membership and to try to get them back in. Will use personal letters on club stationery and N3F benefits list. We believe that present N3F activity and follow-through on projects should be good selling points. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Want to thank all the members who sent in their Membership Survey blanks. Those who also wrote and have not received answers, will soon -- we were flooded with letters, postcards, and blanks. The blanks are being tabulated by Eva Firestone but we know that over 120 were received on which about 50 members volunteered to help the club. Those volunteers will hear from a club official, if they haven't already. Meanwhile, thanks a lot. NEW INNER PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER Unusual demands on my time, both at work and at home, forced me to resign on May 1st. Hated to have to do it, but was cheered by the fact that Eva Firestone has accepted the post. Under her capable and enthusiastic leadership, the WelCom Dept. will climb to new heights of successful action. My sincere thanks are due to the following officials
