"Ah," said the stranger, and he helped Willus take the suit off again. "Now you are ready," said the stranger, clamping down the helmet a second time. "Yes," said Willus, "but this time..." "Well?" The stranger frowned. "Scorpions," said Willus. "Nonsense," cried the stranger. "I cleaned out that suit very thoroughly and I can assure you..." "OUCH!" said Willus. The stranger signed and unfastened the helmet again. The spaceship was a long, gleaming hull studded with portholes and rocket jets and things. "I built the hull thing myself," said the 32
