Scene One: Curtain. A man is seated on a small stool. He holds a loaf of bread. He opens the bread, then he opens the black bag in front of him. One slice at a time, he puts the whole loaf of bread into the bag. He closes the bag. Curtain closes. Scene two: Curtain. Black bag is lying on a red couch. Person behind couch is holding a mirror. No movement. Curtain closes. Scene Three: Curtain. The man is seated on stool as in scene one, except facing opposite direction. Lights cut. He is putting slices of dark bread into the black bag one at a time. He puts fifteen slices of bread into the bag, pauses, then puts the remaining fifteen slices into the bag. Curtain closes. Scene Four: Curtain. Black bag is lying on a plot of green grass. A red cow nose is protruding from the bag. No movement. Curtain closes. Scene Five: Curtain. Man is lying face down in a stall. No movement. Curtain closes. Scene Six: Man is seated at table. Persons holding sculpture stand behind and at each side of the table. Women goes to the table and sits down; she butters one slice of bread and hands it to the man. She takes another slice of bread and begins to butter it. Curtain closes.
