the penguin as a domestic oct. 23 I stood outside the Museum of Art, dressed in a tuxedo. I wore no shoes or stockings, I was standing on an oriental rug with a small table beside me. On the table was a miniature set of dining room furniture. Moving about the room, upsetting the furniture was a mechanical penguin. I wound the penguin and set up the furniture again. When the penguin eventually fell off the table, the piece was ended. A side arm floor lamp provide the lighting. At each of the four corners of the "larger" room were persons holding house plants. From time to time wild bird calls were produced from behind there plants by a sixth performer.
