ORIENTATION WEEK ACTIVITIES This section of the New Student Handbook is concerned with the activities of Orientation Week. You are expected to met all appointments at the time for which you are scheduled. Note that on your admission letter you have been assigned a University number. Orientation activities are scheduled according to the last two digits of your University number by which you will determine the times and places of your appointments from the lists which are found on pages 39 to 41. It is your responsibility to arrange these appointments as they pertain to you. All new students are assigned to each of the following activities or groups: (1) Orientation Group (2) M.M.P.I. Test (3) Speech Correction Test All new freshman women students and those transfer women who have not satisfied the physical education skills requirement must determine the time and place at which they are scheduled to take the following: (1) Women's Physical Education Written Test (2) Women's Physical Education Performance Test New students in Engineering are required to take the Pre-Engineering Test scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20 Geology Auditorium All new students are invited and urged to participate in the social activities planned as outlined in the day-by-day activity schedule found on pages 43 to 45. From the charts which follow, you are to determine the time, room, and building for each of your appointments. Enter this information in the appropriate spaces on page 42. ORIENTATION GROUP NUMBERS The orientation group to which you are assigned is the same as the last two digits of your University number. That is, Group 1 is made up of those people who have numbers such as 8 64 01, 8 65 01, etc.,; Group 2 of those with numbers such as 8 64 02, 8 65 02, etc.; and similarly for Groups 3 through 100. Group 100 of course will be those students having numbers ending with two zeros, e.g., 8 64 00, 8 65, 00, etc. 38
