After Registration Class Attendance. Once you are registered for your courses, your main business is to attend classes regularly and to complete assignments as given to you by your instructors. Remember, we pointed out earlier that your education is your responsibility. In some courses strict attendance rules are enforced; in other courses the student is placed "on his own." Regardless of the attendance rules which may prevail in a particular course, you should bear in mind that "skipping classes" is a sure way to invite trouble. Don't fall for that temptation! Students are expected to continue in the courses for which they register unless there is some valid reason which would justify the making of a change. The student who wishes to change his registration should first see his adviser. The last dates when changes in registration are permitted are listed in the Schedule of Courses. Remember that no changes are official until you make them in the Registrar's Office. Iowa City or Commuting Address. All students must provide and maintain in the Registrar's Office a correct and complete Iowa City or commuting address. Students who do not provide this address within one week after registration and who do not make any corrections necessary within one week after a change in address is made will be subject to cancellation of registration. The reinstatement fee after cancellation of registration is $10.00. 46
