ECONOMIC BOYCOTT The National Boycott Committee at Brandeis University has issued the following information. A national boycott is being organized for persons interested in protesting the turn our nation has taken in foreign affairs. As your conscience dictates we urge you to write to ay, and government representitives endorsing the boycott of the following economic institutions. 1) the Coca Cola Company. products: Coke, Fresca, Sprite, Fanta Beverages, Tab, Sno Crop products (such as orange juice), minute Maid products (as in o.j., again), Hi-C fruit juices, Real Gold fruit products, Duncan Foods, Butter Ground Coffee. 2) the Phillip Morris Company. products: Phillip Morris Marlboro Parliament Virginia Slims Alpine Benson and Hedges These products have been selected on the basis of their 1) having a large youth market, 2) having large political lobbies in Washington, 3) having alternatives to these products (minimizing the inconvenience to boycotters and maximizing the pressure on the boycottees), 4) being highly automated, thus displacing the minimum number of workers. The boycott will cost YOU some inconvenience, but weigh it against the alternatives for you, your family, and friends in the war in S.E. Asia, in taxes, and in the impending recession caused by war costs. We need pickets and workers. Come to an organizational meeting at 9:00 a.m. or 7:30 p.m. , both in the Wheel Room, I.M.U. For information, call the Campus Ministry, 337-2187. ENFORCE THE BOYCOTT NOW RIGHT ON !!!
