"What do we do now great master? Look for a pilot job, maybe?" "I guess that will have to do. We can't report to anyone else. Many trips followed with Bob as chief pilot and Koso as co-pilot. Then one day the head of the company informed Bob that their ship contained 20,000 dollars in gold for the trip back to earth. Bob saw to it that the ship was in a safe place when the ship started back to earth and soon forgot all about it. Bob was asleep in the cabin when it happened. There was a loud noise, the melting of metal and the escape of air into space. Bob jumped off his bunk and ran into the cabin to find Koso frantically pushing buttons and turning dials."The ships been cut in two," came his thoughts, "that space ray again," Ans he went back trying to keep the forward part of the ship in control. Luckily the memrgency bulkheads had closed when the air had started to escape, leaving the control cabin and a few forward cabins intact. The ray had cut up close to the nose of the ship, seperating it from the rest of the ship. Bob and Koso looked out of the control room window. "Look," cried Bob, "over to the right. That's what it was. An invisible space ship. Look it's becoming visible now."
