Scienti-comics: 10c Phil Bronson, V2N2. Home-made ice-cream in several luscious flavors. The Alchemist: 10c Martin & Hansen V1N3 An entree of grilled swordfish steak, with parsley, slices of lemon, and trimmings. Fanfare: 10c Widner & Singleton V1N3 Fried filet de Chauvenet appears to be the piece de resistance in this concotion. Sunspots: 5c Plotkin, de la Ree, & Gaetz V3N2 The pork chops would seem to be somewhat burnt on both sides. VanHouten Says: 3 for 10c VanHouten Well cooked egg plant, to be sure. I've never cared for eggplant, but tastes, you know, vary. Le Zombie: 5c Bob Tucker Spanish omelette, served with mushrooms. It does us good. Voice of the Imagination: 10c Ackerman & Morojo. Corned beef hash, browned, and served with lots of tomato ketchup. A staple item in our diet. FROM THE BACK SEAT damon knight: Detours, as always, astonishes me. After that yellow cellophane I can expect anything...Mengarini's bit very interesting and very true...by the way, in connection with HCK's caustic comments on Planet Stories, & your own eyebrow-hoisting, I have it on good authority that those who speak of brassieres, with reference to the garments of young and beautiful heroines of pulp fiction are in error. What such damsels wear, when they wear anything, is a bandeau. I have spoken. --------------------------- [Blue star sticker] Red star, please subscribe Blue star, complimentary Green star, sub. still good Silver star, exchange copy Gold star, last exchange copy till you send your next
