CONVENTION HALL No "Austin" Hall Nothing small about the Pacificon Hall — It will hold up to 750 persons! The pick of 5 halls, the Pacificconventioneers will find their spacious meeting place located at 2200 W 7 St--- THE PARK VIEW MANOR. The Park View is the well-known site of the highly successfuI Science Fiction Fanquet of '45, and a short drive from downtown Los Angeles, Slan Shack, Fran Shack, Hollywood, Tendril Towers, Ferry's Flat and many other spots of scenic and fanic Interest. Dlrectly across the street Is Westlake Park, with lawns and a lake. Within walking radius are half a dozen eateries—everything from beaneries to xlnt restaurants...featuring the Golden Rooster, the "tops in ribs". HALL Itself is equipped with 2 microphones, one of which is a "rover" and will be employed many times during the Convention to bring the voices of various fans and authors to the assemblage. Refreshments will be readily available. THE PARK VIEW MANOR Is easily reachable by 3 streetcars and a bus............ fja CONVENTION BOOKLET YOU CAN'T TELL THE HUMANS FROM THE MARTIANS WITHOUT ONE! Under the capable hands of Lou Goldstone, we are having one of the finest Convention Booklets ever published for such a gathering. It will be at least 44 pages, Including 4 pages for autographs of the fans and pros attending. There Is a new type of format of which we are quite proud, and the cover design and most of the Interior was designed by that fine fan artist, Lou Goldstone, who has been working night and day making this an outstanding Convention memento. This Official Booklet will contain not only the program of events, but advertisements of famous fans, fanmags, promags, and friends of Fandom generally.
