Lester Dent and Laurence Donovan are now alternating in spinning the Doc Savage exploits .... C.L. Moore has drawn a striking illustration for her new fantasyarn, "The Dark Land", scheduled for publication in January WEIRD TALES. This is Jirel of Joiry adventure telling about King Pav of Romme, a dark spirit ruling in an other-worldly land, who has become aware of Jirel in her journeys into strange places and desires her for his queen..... The next in the series of her Northwest Smith yarns is known as "The Tree of LIfe". After a long absence from the pages of a science fiction magazine, H.P. Lovecraft's two part fantascience serial "At the Mountains of Madness", will begin in the February Astounding......... This magazine has also taken another short Lovecraft novel, "The Shadow Out of Time" .... H.G. Wells' scenario for his scientifilm, "The Man Who Could Work Miracles", will appear serially in the American Magazine under the title, "The Miracle Maker" Macmillan will publish it later as a book...... The personal experiences of a nebula are related in Ross Rocklynne's Wonder novelette. "Into The Darkness" ... S. Fowler Wright's English newspaper serial, "The War of 1936" (see May Science Fiction Eye) has been published in book form as "Prelude in Prauge", (put out by Neunes at 7/6, about $1.80)..... Frank Belknap Long, Jr. has clicked again at Astounding with "The Cones" A new science fiction magazine will positively appear within the next six months!..... Wonder's next serial, a two parter, by Joe Wm. Skidmore, formerly announced as "The Atomic Operation", will appear as "A World Unseen". The action takes place within the bloodstream of a girl..... Laurence Manning has written a 60,000 word novel-sequel to his "World of the Mist", which he titles "Maze of Creation". It will follow Skidmore's serial.......Astounding has taken B.L. Bowman's "Laboratory Co-Operator 3", and P. DeWitt Miller's "The Shapes" ..... Farnsworth Wright maintains that "The Crystal Curse",Eando Binder's forthcoming yarn in Weird, is a 'veritable rhapsody in blue' ..... H.P. Lovecraft has dedicated his newest story, "The Haunter of the Dead" to Robert Bloch,an idea suggested by a reader in WT's Eyrie..... Stanley G. Weinbaum continues his successful selling streak to Astounding with the sale of his latest novelette, "Redemption Cairn". It is not generally known, but Jules Verne's real name was M.Olchewitz!... One of the truly thought-provoking stories of the year is John Russell Fearn's new novelette "Mathematica". Astounding has accepted it and will feature it in the February number .... Those[? unclear] S.[? unclear] Gardner will continue his series of Eo stories, the first of which was "The Insect World" ...Wonder has already accepted the second,
