The University of Iowa Iowa City, Iowa 52242 Special Support Services Educational Opportunities Program 310 Calvin Hall (319) 353-7170 June 14, 1979 Hector Perez 216 E. Fairchild Street Iowa City, Iowa 52240 Dear Hector: I thought you should have a copy of this information which I provided to Vice President Hubbard. I felt it particularly important for you to have this since Vice President Hubard has been out of town this week; hence his response may not be as timely as you normally would have expected. As I said to you in our meeting on March 22, in my letter of May 16, and then again informally on a number of occasions, I am very concerned about the absence of a manager for the Chicano Indian American Cultural Center, and look forward to that position being filled. After my discussion with Vice President Hubbard, we will be getting back to you. If you have any questions or concerns, just drop by or give me a call. In your letter you also mention the Upward Bound Project Director search. If you (or other members of the Chicano Indian American Student Union) have candidates you would like to recommend, please get their names and addresses or telephone numbers to me soon (preferably before June 22), and I will send or contact them and encourage their application. (A job description is enclosed.) Please contact me should you have some additional concerns. Sincerely, M. Colleen Jones Director MCJ/hab Eclosures cc: Vice President Hubbard
