3 [emblem of feather] [2 hand drawn emblems] TO OUR READERS Hermanos y Hermanas Lo sientimos mucho que por razones de "academia" no pudimos publicar EL LABERINTO mas que una vez en el semestre pasado. However, it seems that this year we will be having more help del proletariado estudiantil so that we can come out with at least three issues per semester- Jan through May. Aqui en la Universidad buenas y malas cosas han pasado. /Here at the University great and bad things have happened. We have grown a lot, some people think, but sometimes it is hard to see in what way. We have moved to a new CHICANO -INDIAN CENTER - 308 Melrose Avenue (across the river!). Most of the programs that were started two and a half years ago still continue. There still is a lot of room for expansion, ideas and other wonders. We have continuedto to have a strong group of student body, Chicano, that have and still participates in the Farah, Farm Workers Huelga and we still push for our own thing here at the University of Iowa. Now some of the creek stuff, bad, is that the EOP and the University are super pals in trying to stop the growth of the Chicano student population here at the University of Iowa. You can see it better through the opinion of one Carnal. However, we will not give up our goals. Si Se Puede! En cojunto con nuestros carnales en Aztlan and the Midwest-Chicago- we will push you till the final solution and that nuestro pueblo tenga Libertad y Justicia. Como hombres, como mujeres de Aztlan de este continente que nos pertenecek, seguiremos luchando. Tambien el campo/ Also for our people enslaved in sweat filled factories and blood soaked fields. This is more than enough to stop our feelings of frustration. Por eso continuamos. We hope that all our carnales at their own chante, home, do the same and SI SE PUEDE! HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE editor r z [emblem]
