5 Could it be that the EOP and the rest of the racist institution thinks that we will stand for all these manipulations? We Chicanos have gotten bad dealings in this society, too numerous to mention here, and we are constantly struggling in order to survive while back here--the University of Iowa--we get another shocking surprise through the dragon's mouth of EOP and Mr. Vernon and when they say that it is justified to recruit two Blacks for every one Chicano student. Justified? By what law? By what right? By what process? Oh yes, they did it by logic. Or was it because they think they can get away with it? Fine. We Chicanos won't let you Mr. Vernon, EOP, SSS. We'll do everything within our power to change this racist-oppressive policy that discriminates against Chicanos. The rest of our carnales throughout the country shall learn of your dirty dealings. Watch out-- If you have read the above and feel oppressed, depressed, low or any other feeling, go to the president's office--Mr. Boyd--and shout that this is a racist institution. Then go to Dean Hubbard and ask him to define equality . Then go to Phil Jones' office and shout "this office oppresses Chicanos"--and walk out and go to your place, have a meeting with other Chicanos and read the Plan de Santa Barbara. It's a shame to see two oppressed people fighting for the same bone! Yet, the saddest part is that one side does not realize that it's being used as a tool by the oppressor!
