15 HOW IT IS WITH US: EL DIA DE LOS PADRES El Dia de los Padres is being planned for Saturday, April 13, 1974. This is an event being organized by the Chicano-Indian American Student Union and the Black Student Union. It was felt by some students on campus that the all-University parents' weekends were not relevant to minority parents. It is for this reason that "El Dia de los Padres is being planned. Activities on the agenda include a Brunch at the Union, a Minority Fashion Show, a bus tour of the campus, a supper and afternoon entertainment. El Teatro de Zapata, Native American dancers, Chicano dances, Black Action Theater, Voices of Soul and Black Genesis Troupe are among the groups that will entertain. Our meetings are held every Monday night at 9:30 P.M. at the Chicano-Indian American Cultural Center, 308 Melrose Avenue. Everyone is urged and welcome to attend. All contributions are welcome. For further information, please call Elia Ildefonso, 351-4202, Rosa Higareda, 353-2755, or mona Comacho, 353-0949. The help of everyone is needed to make "El Dia de los Padres" a success. ROSA H. [insert] [insert] THE KEYHOLE COMMITTEE The Keyhole Committee will be sponsoring two visitations to this campus from several cities in Iowa. These visitations will be geographically divided. Also, future meetings will be posted and everyone is urged to attend. Elisa M. Sanchez EL TEATRO DE ZAPATA El Teatro is well and alive in Iowa City. It appears that we will have a heavy schedule of appearances throughout the Midwest. The Teatro has new directores and we are confident that great things will happen with the carnales. Also, will be going to Western Illinois University at Macomb on the 16th of February. With this appearance the Teatro will present new actos that have not been performed before. If anyone wishes our Teatro to perform for them, write at the Laberinto address or give us a call. Los carnales encargados del Teatro son Nicolas Aguilera y Arturo y Arnulfo Ramirez. Les deseamos suerte, vatos. [emblem]
