5 a clear understanding of how to survive in critical periods of racism and exploitation that they have encountered. These people are opportunistas and vendidos. We must remember to be progressive in our thinking; that some of the "progressives" will be there because they need the people and their allegiance to exploit them; that some in our ranks will be opportunistas and we must weave them out or correct their ideas. Also, we must correctly handle disagreements and disputes in the midsts of our people without becoming overly sever or too mild in our criticism, especially where criticism is needed the most. In this university especially, we must confront the people that are supposed to serve the needs of the Chicano an Indian students and make them correct their erroneous view and expose their opportunistic ways. This includes the self-serving administrators and their misguided attitudes. We must finally become aware of the need for leadership within our own ranks and that by our lack of concern act as saboteurs with our own misguided attitudes.
