company that they trained with. Whether or not this offer is extended or accepted the actual experience gained is a big plus on a job resume. The Coop Program can be seen as a very important stepping stone to higher economic positions. Al Seals stressed the importance of roles played by minorities in positions that were previously restricted to anglos. To see a Chicano Actuary (?) or Executive would make positions like these seem more obtainable to Chicano business majors. Career orientation information is available in the Resource Center within the Placement Office which features pamphlets on almost every job imaginable. Information on summer jobs graduate schools, and possible job openings are also available. Bulletin boards are covered with job information and there is even a computer keyboard for use to gain further information. With this office available to all students it would seem very foolish for any Chicano student to graduate and not have any options open for a career in his field. Check out the Placement Office and Al Seals, it will be worth your time. *************** The Center has a new pool table. The ping-pong table is also fixed. They are located in the basement and are available to everyone for use. *************** NEW SENATE MEMBERS Ray Garza and Phillip Garcia have been elected to the University Student Senate. Running under the AX(?) Party they are in position to help establish University policies. They are to be congratulated. *************** INVITATION This is an open invitation to those who have never been to the Chicano native American Center and to those who have not been there in a long time. The center is here for your benefit and has much more to offer than you may realize. We will be looking forward to seeing you. (Sal, John, Kika) 5
