My next step was to petition for Restoration of Lost Good Time through the Citizen's Aide Office, and the Polk County-Des Moines Offender Advocate Office. Are you still with me? Today, the counselor called me into his office to inform me that The Board of Parole requested a progress report; and to say they have scheduled a special parole board hearing for the middle of February, at which time I will make a personal appearance. My appearance alone with what I have to say will not elicit a favorable decision. Attorneys with whom I have spoken to have said I will remain imprisoned for as long as no one shows an interest in me & or my situation. With this in mind I ask your help by way of support letters addressed to The Board of Parole urging them to grant me a parole. Letters of support should be addressed to: The Board of Parole ATTN: Mr. Donald L. Olson Parole Board Executive 6th Floor Lucas State Office Building Des Moines, Iowa 50319 Without your support I will remain imprisoned until March 29th, 1980. Letters must be in Mr. Olson's possession no later than February 14, 1978. Six (6) years of confinement I feel is sufficient for stealing a car. Will you help me?
