-17- El Laberinto would like to extend its' appreciation to all of the conference planners who worked extremely hard to make this years Native American Chicano Week Conference a reality. All of you locos y locas know who you are. We would also like to give Sheila Vedder a special thanks for her guidance in making some sens out of our budgeting procedures. Special thanks to Special Support Services for providing la lana to feed the dance troupe. Tambien this months "brownie points" go to Jon "Dancing Bear' Munoz y Bill Bribriesco. IGNORE YOUR TEETH AND THEY'LL GO AWAY, BUT NEVER FEAR JON "DANCING BEAR" MUNOZ CAN ZAPATEAR THEM BACK IN!!! Jon was the 1977-78 recipient of the Ralph C. Applebee Award given to an outstanding junior Dental Student in Removable Prosthodontics. The award is given to a student outstanding in academics and dentist-patient relationships. (You better watch him Yolanda!) A cash award accompanies the honor. Congratulations Jon; we're proud of you! Now where's the lana! Tambien our congratulations to Bill Bribriesco who will be joining the 1978 Freshmen entering class at the University of Iowa College of Law. Now he can represnet us against law suits such as slandering, inuendos and awarding brownie points. He will be joining the CHALE & CHALE & CHALE Law Firm, Inc. here in Iowa City.
