In the Constitution of the United States of America there is a part which guarantees' the freedom of religion, no matter what that religion may be. That is one of the major reasons behind the United States and the colonization of the Western Hemisphere by the riff-raff and anti-socials from the European Continent. The Constitution of the United States is primarily concerned with the rights, freedoms and privileges of the majority within this United States, that does not include the indegenous peoples of this hemisphere or other minorities. They officially did not have a religion before Christianity was introduced - at gunpoint and other forums of coercion - and as being so subhuman the Constitution therefore does not apply to these non-whites. On March 13 of this year, it was finally recognized by the officials of this state that the indegenous peoples of this nation are also human - and they thus have a religion which deserves and demands the protection of the laws which are supposed to govern everyone in this country, that do include the people who run this country. This came about in an action in which the Native American prisoners of the Iowa State Penitentiary are allowed to have a Sweat Lodge within the walls of the Pen. This is no small thing, as no religious matter is to Native American People. The Sweat Lodge Rite is one of the more important of the many multitudinous rites through which we may approach the Power to whom we pray and believe in. Sweat Lodges are already in use in the prisons of several other states but this state has only recently come to the idea that Native American Peoples are human also; People who have inhabited this country since the beginning of time and who continue to claim this land as theirs. Freedom is a very basic premise within the United States, but as does usually happen, these freedoms are not necessarily extended to the indegenous peoples as they are, for the most part, not always considered as being human unless it becomes of economic advantage to the powers-that-supposedly-be in this country. Religious freedom is of no consequence when this freedom is extended to the Native Peoples of this country, at least not to the mongrel pack that now runs this country. Some people forget very easily their freedoms. --by Jon P. YoungBear [Illustration text] Free All Native Political Prisoners
