Teachers are encouraged to research and explore and be creative in developing more activities. The important thing to keep in mind would be the process which was developed to include the following: 1. Use activities that will develop positive enforcement of the culture of the child. 2. Use of the family in developing and carrying on of activities who have a wealth of resources that the teacher can draw from. 3. That the child have opportunity to question and interact with specific themes and concepts that he is expected to learn. (This means the teachers must do homework to be prepared and must permit the child to do as much talking and questioning as possible.) 4. That bilingual language be modeled constantly. Use of the first language of the child will permit the new language and vocabulary to be introduced easier. The history of the Chicano reveals an ancestry that is filled with nobility, tied with the first Americans, and with the first peoples of this continent, with and extremely modern technology that is influencing the entire world, with an extremely rich culture that still produces crafts and arts sought by peoples everywhere and who still maintain a life style where humanistic and cooperative values along with philosophy which is compatible to living with the environment that is so direly needed today. 40
