Nordlohne (With Illustration by same) (Reprinted from the East Denver High Script Book) A large disk-shaped craft glided gracefully toward the dingy ruins of an ancient city. It seemed to hang motionless in the sky for a moment, then lowered noiselessly into a wide cluttered park. After a pause of a half hour or more, a door rolled hack and a metal ramp slid out onto the the dirty green vegetation -— Two men-like beings alighted from the craft, followed by a dozen more. The men from the disk looked weird and alien, yet somehow beautiful and graceful. One of the men spoke, Aavon, you will take seven of your men and explore this part of the metropolis. Find all the information you can. Six others and I shall take the far side. Be back within sunset." The one addressed nodded and turned to return to the ship for equipment. That evening after the others had retired the leader of the group was writing in a large room. His face was somewhat haggard and tired. He began his report: -------------. Report No. 2367-zr3 Exploration ship number W-680-M reporting to home planet. Time: The forty-first revolution in the eighth period of the 4,869 cycle. Comment: our ship arrived here in early morn-
