February, 1941 SUN SPOTS Page 12. [[underline]]OUR MARTIAN OBSERVER SAYS[[end underline]] Number 2 Golden City, Mars---Koar once again, my friends. More news of the system. Well, Captain rogers left today for the astroids. With him went Prince Jorden, son of King Analdo, the ruler of Mars and a member of The council of Five, at present the rulers of the System. Does this mean that Earth and Mars have decided to put pressure on the other members of the Inner Planets Alliance? Or are they simply acting in accord instead of Discord? The council of Five voted yesterday that the next Council would be one of seven. Venus and Uranus are to be represented in the next Council. Venusians have already selected their Queen, Ulane, to be their representative. On Uranus it is a contest between Talbve, present head scientist of Uranus; Vanbve, heredity ruler, and Napht, Leader of the Organization for Democratic Rule. The Council also announced that the Alliance between thee Tiger Men of Mars and the Space Pirates was an actuality. King Analdo has requested that the eight division of the Solar Navy be sent to Mars to prevent Space Pirates from landing and occupying strategic positions in conjunction with the Tiger Men forces under Ban-Flure. "Already", the King stated, "Thousands of pirates have arrived on Mars and joined with the Tiger Men." At the same time that he issued the above statement he declared a state of war to exist on Mars. . . On Saturn there is much unrest. Many Saturnian orators and televisors have been preaching anti-Mars propaganda. Because of this the belief of many Martians, that Saturn nver really wanted to get rid of the pirates, has become widely accepted. They point out that it is strange the Pirates are so well equipped with modern space ships, armor, arms, etc., especially of Saturnian style. . . . Mercury has just concluded an alliance with Venus, thus placing herself in the Inner Worlds Alliance, as Venus is even now negotiating for treaties with Mars and earth. . . . . . On the Astroids there is serious dissension. It seems that Jupiter has started merging her moons with the mother Planet. it completed this would leave the Astroids the outermost member of the Inner Planets Alliance. A most perilous spot in the event of Wars. Many Asters say they should follow the Jovian Moons and either merge with Jupiter or join the Outer Planets Entente They gave as their reason, the fact that they had been in contact with the Jovian Moons eons before the present status was reached. . . . .Akor, signing off. . . . .
