"Well he was a family beater, but the last time he went playing games with a stick he hit his wife a little too nard, and now she's dead." "Oh a murder rap, that's different," apologized Manley. "Yea that's different," agreed Rodney. "Well when do we start," asked Manley. "This is the closest to a big job we've ever had. "Manley had the habit of saying we all the time, for where he was Rodney was. "Right away Manley my boy. Here is a picture and discription of him." "Say he looks just like me," announced the Detective. "Yup just like you," Mimicked Rodney. "Yes I noticed that," said the chief. "That's the reason I choose you for the job. But you had better get going out west Johnson 'cause a storkeeper out there says a fellow answering Cotten's discription has been stoking up on rocket fuel and provisions, and the amount of stuff he's getting he must be heading for Saturn. The town's right here on the map." Now we find Manley Johnson and young Rodney Gleesonspeeding accross the country to the town designated on the map entering the general store, and then raceing up a little used road only to see the bright glare of the departing rocket. "Oh da--rn," Exclamed Johnson, whos language was often restricted by the presence of Rodney. "Now we'll have to go on to Denver and get a ship for Saturn. Once on the ship bound for Saturn our two strong armes of the law setteled down to a comfortable trip. After a time Rodney became a little uneasy, and finally said to the Detective. "Say Manny, suposing this Edgar Cotten isn't going to Saturn." "What ever gave you that idea," moaned Manley. "The chief said he was going there didn't he?" "Well no, he didn't exactly, " pouted Rodney. "He only said perhaps he was going there because of the amount of stuff he was taking. "Ah don' worry kid, the chief is usually right away." So until the end of their journey the two rested comfortably, but never the less they were very much relieved to hear that two men, one of which answered Cotten's discription was supposidly heading on a prospecting trip to Titan. But now we catch up on Ed Cotten and George Hempstead stroling across the fertile fields of Titan. "Boy Ed, this sure is the place for us, lots of food, practically uninhabited, no copson the place, boy this issure it.
