EXCHANGES ALCHEMIST A mag, of the upper brackets, small sized, well mimeod, about 6 pages of good, interesting material..10c a copy from 1258 Race St, Denver, Colo. DETOURS A novel type of mag, entirly hand written, mimeod in different colors, with only fair material. The mags worth the 5c price, just for the novelity. 5c from Esmost, Va. FUTURIAN Last issue of this last British fan-mag arrived sevrl days ago, but two pages mimeod. Had the science fiction fan's view of the [?] and other such stuff. 4 Grange Terrace; Chapeltown, Leeds 7; Endland FANTASSER After an absence of about a year, this mag., under the direction of Bill Groveman, has returned. Fair material, and poor mimeoing, 5c a copy from 18 Maryland Ave., Hempstead, N.Y. CALIFORNIA MERCURY Under the new editorship of J.J. Fortier, this mag, seems destined to go places. That is as a news-rag, not a magazine. The material is good, and includes Widner's poll results. 5c from 1836-39 Av. Oakl[?] POLARIS Good mag, and under Paul Freehafer, this mag has set a high standard for any fiction-printing fan-mag. If he can keep up the good material, Paul has something. 10c from Bx. 234, Payette, Odaho. SCIENTI-COMISS Edited by Phil Bronson, a darn good artist, and his mag shows this. It includes Widner's Poll also, along with an illustrated comic-strip, and a short story. 10c from 224 W. 6th St, Hastings, Minn snide Edited by the wack of science fiction, damon knight. He also is a good artist, along with Phil Bronson. His mag includes much of his work, besides side-splitting humor. 10c from 803 Cloumbia, Hood River, Ore. SPACEWAYS Latest issue is one of the best of late. Has good material, and a cover by Widner that is just fair. Another good buy, just about the best. Mimeoing is excellent - 10c from 303 Bryan Pl. Haggerstown, Md. VAN HOUTEN SAYS Benn appearing off and on for four years. Every so often, you are suprised by an extra large issue, anywhere from 2 to 8 pages.
