December, 1940. SUN SPOTS Page 13. {[[underline]]The Way I See It[[end underline]]", By Harold Mutch,Jr. AMAZING and TWS are certainly my favorites as Science Fiction magazines. AMAZING has a wide variety of readers or it certainly could not stay up in the market. THRILLING WONDER STORIES has about the best Scientific Stories. As for ASTOUNDING SF; I think it takes a very scientific mind to understand some of the points brought up by that magazine. AMAZING has many exciting and breath-taking stories such as'Adam Link', and many other also appear. Of course all readers of AMAZING know 'Adam Link', or at least they should know him. At any rate, he is a robot designed to help prevent trouble, or so it would seem. 'Adam Link Fights A War', was just out recently. Eando, or should I say Otto Binder, should be complimented on his fine work. THRILLING WONDER brings out series of 'Via Stories', which are very good, if you like them. The'Pete Manx' series are also very interesting. This series of stories are about this Dr. Mayham[?], who sends friend Pete back into time, where he bumps into many an interesting adventure, always good for a laugh. (Of course, Mayham, the old goat, wouldn't dare to do it himself!) THRILLING WONDER'S scientific stories are easy to read, and are most of the time very interesting. Thus in suming up, I believe that AMAZING and TWS lead the current Science fiction field. Of course this is only'the way I see it', and I know many of you will disagree with the points I have made. ((Mutch's address:110 wheeler Ave,Westwood,N.J.--Ed)) * * * * * * * * [[underline]]SOLAROID MEMBERSHIP HITS 56 MARK![[end underline]] At a recent meeting of the Solaroid Club, an affiliation with the Baltimore Science Fiction League was Aarranged.
