Century; in the days of the British, Roman, and Egyptian Empires; to carve out an empire in those barbaric lands? Do you want to get away from the every day, humdrum existance that is the lot of ev- ery man in these civilized days? If so, see Destiny Inc, today and find the realization of your dreams. come at once! "Well", questioned Mark Welfare, looking at Brad Sayers, as if he didn't know exactly what was on the latter's mind. "Why did you put full page ads like that in all the newspapers?", snapped Brad."What made you think that I would let you use the invention of mine for any scheme such as this? Why---." "Wait a moment brad", interupted Welfare,"When I gave you the money for this brain-child of yours, the agreement was that you were to do the inventing, and I was to handle the business end of things. And that's just what I'm doing! Just think of the millions we can make by sending men back to the anciant days with modern weapons to make their own destinies." "Yes", hissed Brad, his steel gray eyes glaring at his companion, "And just think of all the misery you will cause by bringing our weapons into nations which know nothing more deadly than simple rifles, and machine guns. I won't allow it, and that is all there is to it!" With this exclaimation, Brad turned to go into the lab. Sensing danger, he turned quickly, just in time to glimpse the glaring flame of the Tau Ray, as darkness decended. * * * * * Brad awoke as suddenly as he had fallen unconscious, and found himself tied to a chair in the time machine, which he and mark had just completed. On the table in front of him,a note was propped up, where he could read it. Brad: It is too bad you were so stubborn. Now you will be eliminated very nicely by your own invention, and your own theory. You will either die of starvation or you will be saved by savages of the early 20th. Century, and will thus start whole new era. As I will never see you again, So long, Your ex-partner, mark... Brad reviewed his chances. They were pretty slim. According to
