(continued from page 2) The inactivity of the official family has undoubtedly had a tremendously depressing effect on the National. It is difficult when one is a member of the official family to criticise that group with any great degree of objectivity; but I will attempt to do so. The most obvious negligence has been on the part of Official Editor Ralph Babcock in his failure to issue the all-important National Amateur. Despite the cognizance which he has repeatedly taken of the important of timeliness and frequency of issue of the National Amateur, Babcock has held up the national organ for months on the sole explanation that "not much was to be expected from me." Ralph has richly deserved the anathema which has bee pronounced upon The obvious course for a person unwilling to perform the functions of his office would be to resign.
