Page Twelve ---Science Fiction Collector Realizing that if I held out, Wiggins' impulsive act would leave him entirely writer-less, I continued writing for the FAN, though reluctantly. The question of the FAPA Presidency did not come up till later and I offered it to Wiggins only because of his distance from the scene of conflict. The LASFL needs make no apology to Sam for this allegedly "undemocratic" act on my part. What Moskowitz claims, exists only in his twisted imagination. Moskowitz mentions correspondence on the Exclusion Act with H. C. Koenig. It happens that Mr.Koenig let me know his opinions on the matter in the case also. I paid him a visit one afternoon, produced proofs of the justice of my side, and offered to meet Sam Moskowitz before any impartial observer for cross-questioning before that observer. He never chose to take advantage of my offer, but it still holds good. I will meet Sam Moskowitz any time he pleases and confound him to his face with his own falsehoods. The question of whether anyone should apologize to anyone should come up after total examination of all the facts in the case. Moskowitz in his second article gives what he considers to be an account of the reasons for the "non admittance" of myself and five others. I wish to examine this account. He attempts to prove that we expelled ourselves., that we did not want to be allowed in in the first place. I wish to call attention to his smug remark that he is presenting the "truthful facts...u̲n̲s̲h̲a̲d̲o̲w̲e̲d̲ ̲b̲y̲ ̲a̲n̲y̲ ̲p̲e̲r̲s̲o̲n̲a̲l̲ ̲o̲p̲i̲n̲i̲o̲n̲." The gall of the man is inconceivable! This account is, like his, undoubtedly shadowed by personal opinion. Raking up the old subject of the Newark convention, Moskowitz twists things a little
