Page Twenty-Six-- Science Fiction Collector Eternal Wanderer Oswald Train A new generation of writers seems to be getting pretty well established now. This becomes more evident when one looks at the names of some of the newcomers on the contents pages and sees that the sons of famous authors of past years have stories in the issue. Edgar Rice Burroughs has two sons, John Coleman and Hulbert, who have turned out a couple of fine stories for Thrilling Wonder. Frederick Arnold Hummer, Jr., has been appearing quite regularly in all of the science fiction magazines for some time now. And now in the latest issue of Thrilling Wonder we see the name of Jackson Gregory, Jr. The fathers of these four young men have turned out hundreds of fine stories during the past few decades, a great many of which have been published in book form, and can be found in practically every library. Let us hope that with the background they have, the sons can become as famous as their illustrious fathers. ... Then, of course, there are several hundred other young writers of great merit who are turning out great stuff, some of which may well be remembered in future years as "classics." Keep your eye on a new writer in the pages of Argosy by the name of William Gray Beyer. Can he writer! His stories are really different, for a change.
