MAILING MUSINGS MAILING MUSINGS MAILING MUSINGS THE FANTASY AMATEUR . . Outside of one page mimeoed upside down (even as you and I) it was a very fine piece of work. What's this? DUES! OK, so I've now paid 'em. I'd say willie did a fine job on the first FA (but then, we expected he would.) YHOS . . Lead article on ASF very interesting, and gives one to cogitate (should have said "think", but it wouldn't fit in the line --too long.) . . NOW Milty tells me. Here I've wasted hundreds of perfectly good pins on an Ashley doll.. . In this 3rd THE TIME-BINDER, Art, I've tried to define more clearly what I mean by "equality". . . The poetry not half-bad. INTRODUCING "DUNK" . . As one who has been well acquainted with this large character for some time, and has worked with him, I predict the FAPA will soon be glad he joined them. Welcome, Chum! WALT'S WRAMBLINGS . . Spencer's masterpiece was just that. Rest ofit up to Walt's usual high standard. SATYRIC . . A hearty welcome back to the work of the Lycanthrophy Press, to Martin and his new family. IN DEFENSE OF THE PHANTAGRAPH . . Why bother? THREE FINGERS . . Somewhat saved to worthwhileness by "The Udder Worlds". THE PHANTAGRAPH (Three of 'em) . . the stories were good. PHANNY . . That cover . . I'm still gurgling, especially at the explanation of it.. . I'll take one of those tickets to Mars, too, Mister. . One either has faith, Don, or he doesn't. It isn't something that another can "give" you, although his example may promote in within you. I was not seeking entirelt to bring anyone else to my way of belief or faith -- I felt that I had to make that effort as a furtherment of my own growth. But, as with so many such gestures, it did more than I had hoped, for numbers have written that they found at least one little point of help to them; others that it seemed to clarify that which they had been seeking for years. . . Of course, there were some teachers in days gone by, who taught History the Time-Binding way -- but far too few.. . Yes, indeed, we need for the individual to be trained in Good citizenship, as well as that our leaders be trained in Good Statesmanship. "RAINBOW TRAIL" . . I still like Larry's poetry. BEOWULF . . Good single-sheeter, but please, Gerry, let's have longer ones. V-R RECORD REVIEW . . The album sounds interesting, and the effort is certainly a splendid one. Comes the money to hand, I shall want to get myself a set. . . It will probably damn me forever in your eyes, Doc, if I am not there already, but I like the Symphony Moderne. -2-
