want further information don't hesitate to contact me for it. Thanking you in advance, I am denventionall, yours, Lew Martin R̲O̲B̲E̲R̲T̲ ̲H̲E̲I̲N̲L̲E̲I̲N̲ --- D̲E̲N̲V̲E̲N̲T̲I̲O̲N̲'̲S̲ ̲H̲O̲N̲O̲R̲ ̲G̲U̲E̲S̲T̲! Robert A. Heinlein, the popular discovery of Mr. John W. Campbell, Jr., has been elected at the first meeting of the newly formed Colorado Fantasy Society, as the Denvention "Honor Guest". This author is fast on his way as one of the "top" authors of the time, and big things are predicted for him, in the opinion of Mr. Campbell, who is in a position to judge the readers reaction of any author's work appearing in Astounding Science-Fiction. It is rumored that he is going to collaborate with Edward E. (Doc) Smith on a book-length novel. At a meeting of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (LASFS), at which 39 members were in attendance, including Mr. Heinlein, who was asked by Forest J. Ackorman whether who would accept the offer as Denvention's Honor Guest. His acceptance of the offer drew loud and prolonged applause from those in attendance, and I believe that the choice of one of the younger "good" authors will prove to be an asset to the Denver affair. My advance information on Mr. Heinlein, which comes from 4SJ, describes Mr. Heinlein, as being a very forceful speaker and a dynamic character. Be on hand to give Mr. Heinlein a typical science fiction welcome. ---- OFW
