CFS Review 11 ATTENTION NEW FANDOM We have just received the November issue of Sun Spots and admire the broadmindedness of the three co-editors, de la Ree, Gaetz, and Plotkin, is certainly unusual with supporters of the New Fandom faction. If they can get the big shots of New Fandom to see it the way they do, we, the Colorado Fantasy Society are willing to talk things over and perhaps have both conventions pulling for each other. How a year is superflous, and if a fan has only money to attend one, it should be the legal convention in Denver. I suppose, naturally, that the New Fandom faction couldn't have had anyone at the Chicon to bid for the convention to be held in Newark, and too, since they didn't, I don't suppose they couldn't wait till 42 and sponsor a LEGAL convention, since it was agreed at the Chicon that the next would be held back East and they would have a fine chance of securing it. No, I don't suppose they could. There has been talk of the Newark Convention being held on the 4th of July -- this, of course, if so, will be just to do what it can to run opposition with the justified convention, and therefore there can be no thought of mutual agreement and reciprocal assistance.
