I BELIEVE that any man who conscientiously and continuously studies and prays toward that end may gain an insight, greater or less depending upon his own abilities, into this Infinite and Illimitable Will. I believe that thousands, nay probably millions, have already done so. I BELIEVE that Jesus of Nazareth gave us a completely workable and logical way of contacting and using this Will; although in language so obscured that it can be gained only by the deepest study and concentration. I even believe that i can see His reasons for thus making it hard to obtain - that He wanted only those who were willing to give up their entire lives to this remarkable work, to be able to gain the complete usage which He knew and utilized; that He was commanded this by that infinite Mind Itself. I BELIEVE that everything that is good and helpful and of real worth this world has come through the following of some portion of this Infinite Will; that those things which are destructive and inimical are the result of opposing the rules laid down for following that Will. I BELIEVE that peace between all men; the true Brotherhood of Man, is the goal (or at least the first goal) envisaged under this Plan. That when man comes to realize, believe and practice the Golden Rule, and becomes indeed his brothers’ keeper, then we shall have reached the first step in the plan the infinite has set before us, and shall be ready for His next commands, and for the next step upwards which He has fore-ordained for us. I BELIEVE also, in this regard, that this infinite mind has given man the power of self-determination, knowing that only by working his own way upward will man come to be strong enough to hold and appreciate that which he has gained. Gifts gained with no effort are seldom as much appreciated or cared-for as those purchased with the results of hard work and honest toil. I BELIEVE that the small things of life are, in their own fields, as important as the larger ones. That it is as important for us to be kind, thoughtful, cheerful, generous and neighborly as it is for some to give their entire lives to the ministry, to teaching, or to general welfare service. For there must be those who do the little tasks of living; i have always thought that Jesus considered Martha and Mary of equal value;”they also serve who only stand and wait”; “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these. . . .”. I BELIEVE in the strengthening power of prayer, whether or not there is a personalized Father-God to bear it, for I believe that when we pray we come closer to touching that infinite Will and Infinite Power which, to me, is my God. That, even if there were no such God or Will or Power , prayer would still be an Im-
