PLENUM Page sixteen AD INTERIM: Very neat, indeed. Poor Dunk is sure taking a beating these days. I hope he shows himself to be a good sport about it. I can't refrain from preaching a bit to dunk at this point: If he had not drawn attention to himself by feuding with Speer, he would probably have had little of this sort of criticism about his spelling and grammar. Fandom is a rough place for people as sensitive to insult as is Dunk. JANUS: We've just about circumnavigated the globe with this item. Most highly interesting. It's fun to see how GI's pick up local color wherever they go. Calcutta must make Naples look like Park Avenue. INSPIRATION: If Bridges does any more of this I'm going to picket him as being unfair to returning vets. 40 pages, no less! Showing me up, eh? I thought I was doing good predicting 20 pages and turning out 16 of Plenum. The history of the mags was not uninteresting. It tickled me to see how every mention of Campbell's name meant a superb story. My feelings exactly. But Lynn, you haven't mentioned the last three parts of the Arcot-Morey series. You can't die before reading them. READER AND COLLECTOR: Lovely appearing, as usual. The info on Mme Blavatsky and her mob was interesting. But what's heathen Koenig doing publishing Theosophical stuff? Woosh. No more mailing reviews like this. Next issue I try a new system of carrying on discussions by subject, rather than by magazine title. I know it makes people feel bad if they don't get mentioned in a mailing review, but they'll just have to write something sufficiently discussable if they want egoboo from me. The book, One World or None, mentions the National Committee for Atomic Information. I wrote to them and received much interesting material from them. They issue a publication, Atomic Information, every two weeks, which you can receive for the asking. In return they ask for a small contribution. In Atomic Information is listed many other publications of varied interest. Write to them and ask to be put on their mailing list. The address is: National Committee on Atomic Information, 1621 K St., NW, Washington 6, DC. And now it gives germs.
