PLUTO 13 ager. As it appears now it would likely be impractical to have these positions other than appointive. Dues for membership will be nominal; they will help pay for stickers for all members, subscription to the official organ, stamps and incidentals. No definite sum has as yet been decided on, but when the membership has advanced far enough, this and other details will work themselves out. At the present writing the following fans have avowed their willingness to back Ted up in the organizing of the IFA: Melvin Schmidt, of Mount Vernon; Jim Tillman of Evansville; Marvis Manning, Maurice Paul, and Vincent Manning of the L.S&H Club of Decker; and Fred Shroyer, of Ft. Wayne. A form letter has been written by Ted, and will be sent out to the names of all prospective members obtainable. If your mailbox contains one of these letters some morning, please give it your attention and let's get the IFA in full swing. Here is an important item regarding the formation of the IFA: The entire midwest has no active fan organization acting solely in the midwest; until now fans in this section of the U.S. are members of groups and societies in other sections, and dominated by them. Suppose that we make the IFA eminently successful, and other midwest states emulate us and form other fan groups. Thus the IFA will have served a fine purpose in collecting the scattered midwest fans, activating them and creating a midwest group that will make those in the east and the far west set up and take notice.
