The rate is ten cents copy 25¢ for 3 High lights in # 1 are "Essay on the Freedom Of Space" by Pong; "Via Totem Pole" by G.A. Gillicutty; "Golden Space Suit" by the editor; and numerous departments of a humorous nature. By all means you should read "Beard Mutterings" #1. SNIDE is illustrated profusely with the cartoons and art work by Damon that the fans rate so highly. You should line up with Damon for future issues of SNIDE. F̲A̲N̲F̲A̲R̲E̲ FANFARE, published by tho Strangers Club, may be obtained from editor Francls Paro, 125 West 6th st. South Boston, Mass. Sub price is 10¢ a copy, three issues 25¢, FANFARE, is the doings of the Strangers Club, & is a general fan mag, Well mimeographed; Vol 1 # 2 has 12 good pages of material. Cover is by Art. L, Widner, director of the club; Hilights of the ish are biog of Art Widner by Russel Chauvenet, and dope on the doings of the club. Has fan mag reviews and other departments D̲E̲T̲O̲U̲R̲S̲ DETOURS, an aimless publication, is issued monthly by L.R. Chauvent from 5 Reidsel Ave., Cambridge Mass. Rates 5¢ 6 issues for 25¢. Vol 1 # 1 is hectoed in purple ink, & contains 5 pages. Contains ideas, opinions, deductions & ramblings by the editor. Some pretty interesting soliloquy. S̲U̲C̲H̲S̲T̲U̲F̲F̲E̲R̲Y̲ A lithographed collection of stickers, letterheads, calling cards, return addresses, etc, of the fan and pro field. Has 6 pages of these interesting items presented in a disarranged fashion. Rated as a collectors item, and it merits the rating. Collected and arranged by Forrest J. Ackerman, (4e—4SJ, etc) and may be obtained from him at 236 North New Hampshire, Hollywood, California, If this issue goes over, Forry says he will issue another one. So send a dime for it. Published by Ray at 26 Seeley St., Paterson N.J, price three issues for 10¢. You'll get a kick out of Ray's sheet of whimsy and gossip.
