The incomparable VIRGIL FINLAY will draw a full page illustration in his best manner for the magazine taken from a quotation in some famous or obscure weird poem. This department drawn by so exceptional an artist should most certainly prove successful. Another one of the late lamented H. P. LOVECRAFTS works taken from an early issue of the now defunct FANTASY FAN will also make its appearance in the December issue of WEIRD TALES. It is titled POLARIS. It was not forcast because it is one of the shorter workks of H. P. LOVECRAFT. THRILLING ITEM Recently THRILLING WONDER STORIES sent out a form letter to a number of the leading Science fiction fan magazines. It's text stated that the magazine would make it a regular policy to send forecasts of coming stories periodical to all who desired them. Of course the circular forecasted some stories but few which we did not already know about. CORRESPONDENT FACTS Corwin F. Stickney has started to work on the anniversary issue of the AMATUER CORRESPONDENT and hopes to bring it out more promptly this time. He states that he heleivas that the fans will be much more satisfied eventually with excellent amatuer material that will stand aging and can be read and reread rather than with news or biographies of just passing interest. That he has not entirely junked fan material is evidenced by SAM MOSKOWITZ', ARE WE ADVOCATES OF SCIENTIFIC FICTION. How' ja do it Sam?
